Bucket Tote or a Tool Carrier

When working on a job site there are several different ways to get your tools to the site. Perhaps the most primitive of ways would be to carry each tool individually. After doing this once or twice you will quickly realize that this is not the best way to transport your tools. In come your options. In this article we will be talking about tool bucket totes and tool carriers.

Tool Carriers: Tool carriers are great for carrying a lot of tools. They come made out of several different materials, years ago the most popular carriers were made out of metal; however, now nylon carriers are becoming much more popular. The metal carriers were heavy to begin with and even heavier when loaded up with tools. Nylon carriers weigh very little empty and only weigh as much as your tools when loaded. Tool carriers are great for transporting tools to a job site where you will be working. They allow your tools to stay organized so you know right where to find them. As long as you stay in the same room and are not moving around a lot a tool carrier is great, otherwise you may want a tool belt.

Several tool carriers now come with slots for plastic compartments. These compartments allow you to carry small items with you such as nail, screws, nuts, bolts, and other small items while keeping them organized. Tool carriers also have a variety of different pouches and slots for your tools.

Tool Bucket Totes: Bucket totes are a simple variation of a tool carrier. They fulfill the same purpose as a tool carrier with one major exception, you supply the bucket. The bucket tote is like a skirt for the bucket and provides slots for all of your tools. Bucket totes are great because they allow you to keep your tools organized, but they also allow you to carry large quantities of nails and screws with you. Simply load pockets with your tools and fill the bucket up with screws or nails and you are set.
